By the Beach with My Tom Bihn Pop Tote and Travel Cubelet

As a wanderer, travel bags are a huge deal that I take into consideration. I want to know how its made, where its made and most importantly, its weight. Who would want to slow down when rushing to a certain destination because of the bag? Not me, though.

Tom Bihn Pop Tote

I have received this Pop Tote together with the Cubelet in a large box all the way from SEATTLE, USA. In 2 weeks time, I can’t really believe I was holding it.

What I first notice about this bag is that the zipper pulls are in a ziploc and should be attached by me. I really did not know how to attach the zipper pulls. I am just asking myself in silence. HAHA

Bag Colors

At first, I thought that the color option was an option for choosing different bag designs. Later on, when they responded to my email, I hurriedly went to their website and view the options . Finally, I got to get a sense of what the option means. The options means the COLOR of the bag. I laugh at myself (Oh! dear me). Anyhow, a variety of options for this one are available, namely; Deep Blue ,Mars Red, Cloud, Alphaviolet and many more. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the color names because a corresponding picture will show you the bag color.

Thoughts

During my recent trip to the beach, I purposely used this Pop Tote so I can put it to a test. I notice that the bag really is big and as a heavy packer, my stuffs miraculously fit in the bag. As in all of it. I was amazed by how the bag performed plus it has 4 snaps at the top that you can unsnapped to get more room for your stuffs.

I love the softness of the shoulder strap/ handle of the bag. It’s addictive to touch and I can’t see any redness on my shoulder (as most of my bags gives) which is really a good sign that proper cushion is provided by the bag.

What I notice and also love about the Pop Tote is that the left and right exterior sides of it have two zippered pockets. You can put your important stuff there; money, phones, medicine and even food. The pockets are soft to touch.

Speaking about zippers, Tom Bihn uses a molded plastic slider for it; meaning it won’t scratch sensitive electronics and also won’t trigger a metal detector.

Plus, its also water-repellent!

I would totally recommend it to my family, friends and followers. I forgot to mention that my bag’s color is Burnt Orange. Just in case you want to know.

Bag Color

I admit that this bag comes in sooooo many different colors. To name a few are Dawn, Northwest Sky, Island, Mars Red, Burnt Orange and a lot more. As what I said before, don’t worry if you are not familiar with the color names because a corresponding picture will show you the bag color.

Thoughts

I have been dying to use this mini travel bag and I’m glad I brought this when I went to the beach. I put my important things here; wallet (one that papers won’t fold), cellphone and cards. It is super handy.

It comes with a separate zipper pulls. You really need a tutorial for this one. I have been tying it in a wrong way but good thing though, I went to their website and found a tutorial here. Best of luck to you. May the pulls be with you! *wink wink*

Furthermore, the yarns are sewn in all the right ways and its perfectly align.

The bag can be carried by shoulder or by hand. What do I mean by that? Well, its simple. The bag comes with a handle loop where you can clip it to the o-rings. So, remove the shoulder strap and clip the handle loop. What I also love about the bag is that its water-repellant.

So, I carried it by shoulder because I don’t want my hand bringing anything and I easily forget things so in order to prevent that from happening, shoulder strap is the best option for me.

Lastly, it is super light to carry.

Good job Tom Bihn! I am very impressed with your bags.
