How to Register for a PayMaya Account
Before you can use any feature of the PayMaya app, you need to register for an account first. Here’s how:
1. Download the PayMaya app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Use my referral code : “z157ub” to get your PHP 50 gift after you sign up and upgrade your account.
2. Fill out the online form.
3. After that, click Continue.
4. Pretend to read the Data Privacy Policy page (lol!) and click the Agree.
5. Note that PayMaya will send you a verification number via SMS. Enter that number in the app and click “Verify.”
6. Click the View Card button.
7. Enter your address and birthday.
8. Enter the required information under the Online Payment Card Number page. You’ll receive a confirmation of your PayMaya account activation.
How to get the Virtual Visa Card
1. Log in to your Paymaya Acount.
2. Then click “View Card” on the top left of the Paymaya application (considering that you successfully registered an account).
3.You can start using the card only after you’ve linked it to your PayMaya app.
How to Link a PayMaya Card to PayMaya App
1. Log in to your PayMaya account.
2. At the home screen of your iOS device, click “More” at the bottom right. For Android phones, click the Menu icon on the top left.
3. Then go to “My Cards” > “Link Card.”
4. Enter your PayMaya card details.
5. Provide a six-digit PIN that you’ll use for ATM withdrawals from your PayMaya account.
6. Click “Link Card” again.
How to Buy Load via PayMaya App
1. Log in to your PayMaya account.
2. Click “Shop.” On iOS devices, it’s at the bottom left of the home screen. For Android devices, it can be accessed by clicking the menu icon at the home screen’s top left.
3. Choose the type of package to purchase: Mobile / Gaming / Others.
4. If you’ll be sending load to others, toggle the “Send as Gift” button.
5. Enter the recipient’s mobile number. After that, click “Continue.”
6. Verify your purchase details. Then, click “Buy.”
6. Wait for PayMaya’s confirmation of your purchase.
7. You can upgrade your PayMaya account for free to be able to send money using the PayMaya app and withdraw cash from your account.
How to Withdraw Cash From PayMaya
Note that you can withdraw funds from your PayMaya account via any Bancnet ATM in the Philippines and Visa Plus ATM abroad. Each ATM withdrawal charges a service fee.
To do that, you need to have the following:
1. You bought a physical PayMaya card (PHP 150).
2. You’ve linked your card to your PayMaya account and set your six-digit ATM PIN (View “How to Link a PayMaya Card to PayMaya App”)
3. Your PayMaya account is upgraded (View here “How to Upgrade PayMaya Account” above.)
How to Upgrade PayMaya Account Using PayMaya App
1. Log in to your PayMaya account.
2. Click “More” (iOS) or the Menu icon (Android).
3. Click “Upgrade for Free”.
4. Fill out the upgrade application form.
5. Using your cellular phone, take a picture of your valid ID.
6. Then do the video call. (This step is for facial recognition)
7. Then hit “Submit.”
You will wait for the validation of Paymaya via Email or SMS.
How to Link PayMaya to PayPal
1. As usual, log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click “Wallet.”
3. Under “Credit cards”, click “Link a card”
4. Enter your PayMaya card information. Note: Please make sure that your PayPal address is the same as the address you registered with PayMaya.
5. Click “Save.”
How to Transfer PayPal Balance to PayMaya Account
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. On the Summary page, click “Withdraw funds.”
3. Enter the amount to transfer. Note that the minimum amount you can withdraw is PHP 500.
4. Choose your PayMaya account. Click the Continue button.
5. Confirm the amount for transfer.
Note that the amount (minus a PHP 250 PayPal withdrawal fee) will be credited from PayPal to your PayMaya account within two to four business days.
How to Pay Bills With PayMaya App
1. As usual, log in to your PayMaya account.
2. Click “Pay Bills.” On iOS devices, it’s at the bottom center. On Android devices, it’s accessed by clicking the menu icon on the top left.
3. Choose the biller from the list.
4. Input your account number and other details.
5. Enter the payment amount.
6. Review and confirm your payment details.
7. Then click “Pay.”
The app doesn’t issue an official receipt, but it provides a notification that confirms payment, as well as a reference number for tracking your payment.
Thoughts
I am so happy to attend the Paymaya Event held at Henry’s Hotel Banilad, Cebu last September 03, 2019 because it made me realize that this is the card that I have been waiting for. I need to ditch my old one because its phasing out. Hello to the new trend!
By the way, the new sleek color of the card is very very elegant.
