Bunzie’s Cove : Must Visit Place at Tabogon, Cebu
WHAT'S IN THIS GUIDE?
Staycation Part 2
Supposedly, I have set my mind to visit this place around mid of August but due to some unforecasted turn of events, it was moved to last week of August. Thank God it was moved because the rain did not pour on us when we dipped into the pool with an overlooking view of the magnificent and vast ocean.

Bunzie’s Cove
It was partly cloudy and partly sunny when we arrived at the North Bus. We asked the person who greeted us with “Asa mo padong maam?”(in English this translates to “Where are you going ma’am?”) , on where the Tabogon Bus were located. Then, he ushered us to a yellow Ceres bus with a sign “Tabogon”. When I saw the bus, I panicked because it was air-lapse meaning there is no air conditiong (hindi man sa maarte but I want to be comfortable huhu!). Then, I hurriedly asked the driver if they have a van or an air conditioned buses but he sadly said “no” in return.
Google maps said that we will arrive to Bunzie’s Cove in over 3 hours maximum but due to heavy traffic, it became 4 hours. The heavy traffic worsen the headache of my friend. I did not expect the traffic because it was on a Saturday morning and I bet every workers and students went home to their province on the evening of Friday.

What to expect about Bunzie’s Cove?
The Bunzie’s Cove is 11.6 kilometers from Tabogon Proper and 76.7 kilometers away from North Bus Terminal of Cebu so expect it to be so serene and peaceful.
The place itself is quite big and it overlooks the vast and wide ocean. You can totally be one with nature. They have 7 available rooms that you can choose from. It will be 8 in the coming future since they are constructing another room which I am very eager and excited to see because the interior designer comes from California.
The staffs of the the cove are actually very accommodating. They always respond to us; guests and they always wear that beautiful smile. It totally makes you comfortable.
They don’t have any television or WiFi because the aim of this resort is to provide a space free of distractions that promotes a holistic merging between the guest and the environment.
They do have a SWIMMING POOL and BEACH.
As I write this, another swimming pool is being constructed in Bunzie’s Cove.
Also, cellular signal is very limited for Globe subscribers. Sun and Smart subscribers have 3G signal.

We stayed at the Seaview Suite Room (see above picture). It has a bathroom for not so conservative people but it has a nice overlooking view to the ocean or the cove. It is pretty instagrammable.

What to do in Bunzie’s Cove?
1. Have a dip in the Swimming Pool at the Lookout
The sky is clear pa here. We were welcomed by a drizzle but it did not hinder us from dipping in the pool.
They have 2 swimming pools. The elevated one (see above picture) and the hagdan-hagdan pool (called it that because its like that for me). The hagdan pool is actually smaller and is being constructed as of writing.
I don‘t actually know how deep the water goes back but its more than 5ft deep.

3. Disconnect to Connect
This is a place where Wi-Fi is out of reach. The signal for Globe sim is pretty limited and it makes you want to chika to other people.
There is no Television too. It totally lets you Disconnect with Social Sites and Reconnect to your loved ones.
4. Watch Sunrise and Sunset
Who doesn‘t enjoy dipping in the beach while the sun rises? or Maybe, watching it from the distance while eating your favorite food or sipping your favorite drink? It is actually pretty romantic.

5. Enjoy Island Hopping
I would not miss in a heartbeat that this resort can be an entry to Island Hopping destinations. The bangka (small boat) is docking here. See picture above.
Just talk to the manager of the resort if you want to Island Hop.
6. Check out the Bunzie’s Cove
This is the view from the villa. And that spot over there with the cool formation of rocks is the Cove. It is actually refreshing and relaxing to look at too.

Overall Thoughts
If I am someone wanting to explore North of Cebu and really want to disconnect with nature and loved ones then this is a place to be. If I want to have an instagrammable photo, this is the place to be.
The only thing to just take note of is that you really should bring some food and snacks because its kinda far from the Tabogon proper. Lisod baya if gutom ta.
Nevertheless, the view from our room window is also amazing.
I would definitely love to stay in Bunzie‘s Cove again.
