Dongdaemun Plaza
Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has an incredible architecture that I myself an Engineer, would love to visit and touch one day. The superb glass-like facade is so mesmerizing and cool to the eyes. I would love to get upclose someday.
Well, that’s not even my ultimate reason why I love it. That’s just a bonus on my end. What I really really love to do is to fulfill one of the list in my bucket and that is to walk the sites where my Ultimate Girl Band, 2NE1, had previously walked.
What’s in Dongdaemun?
They have a lot of activities and events in the area:
Seoul Architecture Festival
Palk Name June Show
HERA Seoul Fashion Weeks
Farmers Market
Those are some of the events in the area according to Visit Korea. One day, I can put my experiences too and I will be editing this one out but for now, that’s just it.
2NE1’s Come Back Home Music Video
That video above is what I am talking about. They were a bunch of cool-looking chics holding light-up sticks with colors. We definitely use those sticks during Christmas but it adds a lot of depth and bad-ass theme of the video.
2ne1’s Come Back Home started with futuristic sights of spaceships and tall buildings. The music video has so many projected gadgets just like the one in DragonBall Z – the counter they have in the eye.
As what I can process, the video is about everyone who wants to live in a virtual world rather than reality. Then, the girls are there to destroy the virtual one. They want everyone to Come Back Home.
I personally think that Dongdaemun Plaza really fits in the entirety of the music video.
