How to Get to Poro, Camotes
✓ OPTION 1 (BY VAN/BUS)
Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.
CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE
- From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
- Then, ride a tricycle going to PUNTA PORT. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at PUNTA PORT for Camotes. Fare is PHP 10.00 – PHP 20.00. Travel time is about 8 minutes.
- At Punta Port, ride the KGC Ferry bound to Poro, Camotes. The fare is about PHP 300.00. Travel Time is about 1hr 50mins.
- At Camotes, hail a motorcycle, tricycle, or just rent a ride for transportation to your destination.
✓ OPTION 2 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)
Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via HILONGOS.
CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE
- From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (Roble Shipping Lines or Gabisan Lines) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 550.00 ( SGD$ 12.23, US$ 11, € 9.17) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
- Then walk or ride a motorcycle to Hilongos Public Terminal.
- At the Market, ride a bus/van to Ormoc City. Travel Time is about 2 hours.
- At Ormoc City Terminal, walk towards Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
- Then, ride a tricycle going to PUNTA PORT. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at PUNTA PORT for Camotes. Fare is PHP 10.00 – PHP 20.00. Travel time is about 8 minutes.
- At Punta Port, ride the KGC Ferry bound to Poro, Camotes. The fare is about PHP 300.00. Travel Time is about 1hr 50mins.

- From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (RORO Ferries) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 580.00 ( SGD$ 12.89, US$ 11.6, € 9.67) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
- Then walk to Baybay Transportation Terminal.
- At the Terminal, ride a VAN/BUS to Ormoc City Terminal. Fare is about PHP 200.00 ( SGD$ 4.45, US$ 4.0, € 3.33)
- At Ormoc City Terminal, walk towards Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
- Then, ride a tricycle going to PUNTA PORT. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at PUNTA PORT for Camotes. Fare is PHP 10.00 – PHP 20.00. Travel time is about 8 minutes.

– Travel Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
– Cebu Port: Pier 1, Cebu City
– Camotes Port: Poro, Camotes
– Advantages: Take this option if you want to arrive faster, and you live/stay near Pier 1 or SM City Cebu or you’re from Southern Cebu.
✓ OPTION 5 (BY BOAT) (JOMALIA FAST CRAFT)
Entry Point is in MACTAN WHARF of Island Central Mactan Mall
– Travel Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
– Cebu Port: MACTAN WHARF of Island Central Mactan Mall
– Camotes Port: Consuelo, Camotes
– Advantages: Take this option if you want to arrive faster, and you live/stay near Mactan.
✓ OPTION 6 (BY BOAT & PRIVATE CAR/VEHICLE) (JOMALIA RORO/EXPRESS)
Entry Point is in DANAO CITY PORT
– Travel Time: 2 hours
– Cebu Port: Danao City Port
– Camotes Port: Consuelo, Camotes
– Advantages: Take this option if you want to save 50% on transportation, if you’re willing to travel or you’re from/near Danao City.
-This roro can take your car to Camotes.

What’s in Buho Rock?
Buho Rock is located in Poro, Camotes Islands. Approximately 27 mins from the Consuelo Wharf. Visitors of Camotes usually never missed this popular coral rock formation.
It is an important landmark of Poro due to its unique ship shape.
Buho rock is an abandoned resort but recently it is under the local government’s care.
ACTIVITIES
MANDATORY PICTURE OF THE COLORFUL BUHO ROCK NAME
Before seeing the magnificent wide ocean this place offers, the BUHO ROCK sign will greet you with a vibrant and at the same time vibrant flashes of color. Be sure to pose your hidden poses.
SWIM IN THEIR SWIMMING POOL
If you don’t want to swim at the crystal clear ocean, then they offer a mini pool that might serve you well.
CLIFF JUMPING
There are three jumping area, a 40ft high and two 18-20 ft high.
The 40ft high is for pro cliff diver. So, if you think you’re a PRO, then you might give this one a try.
CLIMB A BIT OF WINDING STAIRS
For you to exercise a little bit, you need to walk a steep flight of winding stairs to reach the ship-like structure.
Some visitors also enjoy not just searching the horizon from Buho’s viewing deck…
They also snorkel, swim, and even dive from that structure then swim back to the nearby shore and climb up the stairs.
Being not a private establishment, Buho Rock allows visitors to bring in their food or snacks to enjoy better the view.

Their is a ship-rock docking their.
Try to find it.
VIEW THE QUITE AND SERENE CAVE
At the very bottom of the place, their is a not-so secret cave that awaits you.
Good thing that I went down the cliff using stairs.

Yes! They have a little snack house with tea stall.

They have an available rooms for staying. I haven’t asked them about it.

- Please call them in advance to make sure they are open on your preferred day.
- To avoid delay, I highly suggest that you RESERVE and ORDER IN ADVANCE particularly during WEEKEND.

Available and is FREE. They have an allotted parking space.
