A feeding program is an initiative that aims to provide nutritious meals to underprivileged individuals and communities. In the Philippines, feeding programs have become a popular way to address hunger and malnutrition, particularly among children and the elderly.
One such feeding program was recently held in a school in Nadongholan, Ormoc City, Leyte, as part of the local community group to alleviate poverty and address malnutrition. The program was organized by UNITY 90 and was implemented in partnership with a local public school and in participation of Shellwanders Construction and Docmed Trading.
The feeding program provided hot meals to over 100 Grade 1 Student beneficiaries in Nadongholan school. The meals were composed of protein, carbohydrates, and dessert to ensure that the beneficiaries receive the necessary nutrients to stay healthy and energized.
The feeding program not only provides nutritious meals but also serves as a way to promote a healthy and supportive learning environment. By addressing the issue of malnutrition, the program helps students to focus better in class and perform better academically.
The feeding program in Nadongholan is just one of the many initiatives that aim to address hunger and malnutrition in the Philippines, particularly among children. It is a testament to the power of community and partnership in creating positive change and improving the lives of those in need.
In relation to this, 400 rosaries were also distributed to students. The initiative aimed to promote devotion to the Rosary and to spread positivity and hope during these challenging times.
The Rosary is an important prayer in the Catholic faith, and it is believed to bring peace and comfort to those who recite it. The distribution of the rosaries is also a way to promote community spirit and encourage people to come together in prayer and support.
The initiative is a reminder of the importance of community service and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives. By reaching out to the community and spreading messages of hope and positivity, the students demonstrated their commitment to making a difference and spreading joy.
