Snacking in a Healthy Way with Oh So Healthy!

There are so many definitions about what being healthy means. But a lot of them says that, healthy is not just for physical rather for mental and social well-being of a person as well.

Being healthy or rather staying healthy means to avoid foods that does not give nutritional value.

Being healthy means to always sleep in an amount that your body needs.

Today, we will be tackling this crisps snack that I have tried.

I am a self-proclaimed fan of healthy foods.I based my diet on my calorie intake for the day because I have read online that calorie intake should be limited too.

I have been eyeing this crisps for a while now because I love snacks and this is a perfect food for snacking.

Oh So Healthy! is a snack food manufacturer based in Manila, Philippines.

Their crisps are made with no oil or frying, no preservatives and no added sugar . It is made from 100% real fruits.

They promise to deliver products that help support the local agriculture.

Their products are Halal Certified! making it a vegan-friendly food.

This has been delivered to me 2 days after the owner and I talked. If I were to rate the swiftness of the delivery then it would be 5 out of 5. Delay is out of sight.

When these arrived at my doorstep, I felt so excited. I imagined that this snack is actually soft to eat – soft means just like the junkfood kind of soft but not actually soft. Instead, it was crispy. Crispy to the point that it does not bring any familiarity of any food. If I were to describe the crisps texture, it would be brittle.

When I chew the crisps, it felt like I was eating a super firm dried-food but after eating it again, my taste buds gave in to its crispiness and not that firm. And it really taste so good and so sweet. Then, the feeling of happiness and fulfillment came in to me like a wind.

I also did not feel the presence of the mighty oil just like what the label says and that made me love this product even more.

1. Guava Purple Yam Banana – 3 ingredients in one! This is the first snack from their menu that I have eaten. It taste so yummy. I can actually taste guava first then after a minute of eating the banana flavor reached my taste bud. Am I that sensitive? I don’t know the taste of the purple yam that much so I can’t say if it is present (Its for you to try! *wink*).

3. Mango Sweet Potato Banana – I can’t differ the mango and banana here. The flavors dance in sweet symphony. Its in sync that no matter how hard I try to chew, the taste is absolutely there. Must try!

4. Jackfruit Pineapple Banana -The sweetness of the banana mixed with the sourness of pineapple is brilliant. It actually taste yummy. The richness of each flavors makes me jump and dance with utter happiness. Pineapple and Banana is just a perfect combination.

5. Kimchi Crisps – Absolutely my favorite! I don’t eat kimchi when I dine in korean restaurants. But this one is exempted. The rich flavor of spicy and sweet kimchi gives it all. After eating it, the kimchi vegetable really melts in my mouth. It is really the kimchi vegetable that has been dried.

My Thoughts

I will totally spread the words to my friends and to every readers that these snacks are very very healthy.

The taste is not bland instead, it is sweet and yummy. The snack is crispy – actually crispy. The ingredients said in the label can actually be tasted. I can snack without the guilt circling around my mind because I know that what I eat is produce in a healthy manner. The 0% cholesterol is what makes this good for people with heart problems too which is also what I like about it.

Plus eating this will help our local farmers because they buy their ingredients from them.

How awesome is that, right?
