CAMP KAWAYAN RESORT is a resort where most of its furniture is made with Kawayan. It is a resort that can be found in the town of Burauen.

OPTION 1 (BY VAN/BUS)

Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.

  • From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
  • Then, ride a VAN/BUS bound for Tacloban. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Tacloban van terminal. Fare is PHP 110.00 – PHP 280.00 ( SGD$ 2.75 ,US$ 2.2, € 1.83) – ( SGD$ 7.00 ,US$ 5.6, € 4.67) . Travel time is about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
  • At Tacloban, New Transport terminal, ride a van to Camp Cawayan. Be sure to inform your driver that you will hop off at the destination. Fare is PHP 110.00 ( SGD$ 2.75 ,US$ 2.2, € 1.83). Travel time is about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

OPTION 2 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via HILONGOS.

  • From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (Roble Shipping Lines or Gabisan Lines) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 550.00 ( SGD$ 12.23, US$ 11, € 9.17) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
  • Then walk or ride a motorcycle to Hilongos Public Terminal.
  • At the Market, ride a bus/van to BayBay Terminal and inform them to wait for you.
  • At Baybay Terminal, ride a bus/van to Dulag. Travel time is about 1hr 15mins.
  • At Dulag, ride a bus/van/motorcycle going to Camp Cawayan Resort. Travel time is about 15mins. Bes ure to inform the driver that you are going there.

OPTION 3 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via BAYBAY.

CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE

  • From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (RORO Ferries) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 580.00 ( SGD$ 12.89, US$ 11.6, € 9.67) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
  • Then walk to Baybay Transportation Terminal.
  • At Baybay Terminal, ride a bus/van to Dulag. Travel time is about 1hr 15mins.
  • At Dulag, ride a bus/van/motorcycle going to Camp Cawayan Resort. Travel time is about 15mins. Bes ure to inform the driver that you are going there.

OPTION 4 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 3 or PIER 1 via ORMOC .

Notes: 

  • From Pier 1, ride the Slow Boat bound (Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. and Roble Shipping Lines, Inc) or From Pier 3, ride the Fast Craft (Oceanjet or 2Go) for Ormoc. Fare is about PHP 320.00 ( SGD$ 8, US$ 6.4, € 5.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 520.00 ( SGD$ 13, US$ 10.4, € 8.67) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
  • From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.

OPTION 5 (BY AIRPLANE & BUS/VAN) (From Cebu or Manila)

  • There are actually daily flights from Manila to Tacloban and Cebu to Tacloban. The flight takes at least an hour and twenty (20) minutes if your entry point is Manila. Air travel takes about forty-five (45) minutes or less if your entry point is Cebu.
  • After arriving at Tacloban Domestic Airport (San Jose, Tacloban City), go to Tacloban City Bus Terminal via taxicab or transfer service. 
  • From Tacloban City Bus Terminal, one can easily go to the Camp Cawayan Resort by taking a one-hour bus or van ride bound for Camp Cawayan. Tell the driver to drop you off there.

What’s in CAMP KAWAYAN RESORT?

Camp Cawayan Resort

Camp Kawayan Resort can be found at Brgy. Balorinay Burauen, Leyte. It was established last May 2016, founded by Romeo Managsala. The name Camp Kawayan signifies the theme of the resort, most of their furniture and facilities are made and designed in Kawayan style.

When you enter the resort, the first thing you will see is a shop for swimming attires. You can rent some swimming outfits here if you forgot to bring yours. They also have some cottages that you can rent and they also have a regular table near the swimming pool. If you get hungry after your swim, they have a small store which has chips and drinks.

The resort also has a pool area for kids where they can also enjoy swimming and playing with other kids. It isn’t big nor small, just enough for the kids to have fun and the water is just enough as well, for them to swim around.

Camp Kawayan is surely the perfect place for vacation because of its relaxing view and fresh air considering that this resort is located in the province and there is a lot of trees surrounding the place.

The green environment will surely give so much relaxation, away from the busy life of the city. You will enjoy taking pictures around. And it is also the best place of enjoyment for family and friends without expensive fees. 

The resort also organizes events which will be held in the function hall above. Events like, debut, reception for wedding, birthday, etc. They also hold an event of a pageant years ago where the candidates were able to shoot their swimwear.

You will spend around 50 minutes – 1 hour and 30minutes in this place.

Are food and drinks available in the area?

Yes!

Camp Kawayan has a cafeteria where you can buy foods and drinks.You don’t need to go outside the resort to buy drinks (they do not allow, anyway), just visit their cafeteria.

  1. Everyday:
    • 05:00 AM to 11:00 PM 
    • Please call them in advance to make sure they are open on your preferred day.

Parking Space?

Available and is FREE. They have an allotted parking space.

DO’S and DONT’S inside the Resort

  1. All people must take a shower before entering or using the pool and must wear proper swimwear (White T-shirt and Shorts).
  2. Washing or cleaning your feet before using the pool is a must.
  3. Children must be accompanied by parents or supervising adults at all times.
  4. No pets allowed.
  5. No running, pushing or other dangerous horseplay in the pool for your safety.
  6. no foods and drinks allowed in the pool area.
  7. No glass or alcoholic drinks in the pool area.
  8. No smoking allowed on the premises.
  9. Put all your garbage in the trash bag/trash can to maintain the cleanliness of the area.
  10. Playing and giving food to animals around the premises is strictly prohibited.
  11. The management is not responsible for any losses, damages, injury, accidents, or any cause whatsoever.
