Cebu Ocean Park : Expectation vs. Reality
Since the internet took over, our expectations have been very high which leads us to two events: meeting the expectation or failing to meet the expectation.
What we often see in the picture are just filters or even photoshopped just to get everybody’s attention but there are also some pictures that are true to life.
Expectation vs. Reality
1. Crowds and Time Management
Expectation: To begin with, let’s talk about what is probably the biggest expectation of most peoples minds. The crowds. Ok, so I expected to see large numbers of people and expected to be waiting as a result.
Reality: There was no long queues. The staffs were friendly.

2. Animals
Expectation: I have been to Manila Ocean Park and I really saw that the Oceanarium is jam-packed with different kinds of animals. So, I expected that Cebu Ocean Park will have a whole lot more of it in their Oceanarium since it is a lot bigger than the one in Manila.
Reality: Since I have been at the soft opening of the Ocean Park in Cebu, what I saw is that, the animals were quite small in number. Maybe because, it is still in its soft opening and the animals were just settling in.
3. Transportation
Expectation: Since the place is located in South Road Properties, Inc. (SRP) and there is no terminal for public transportation in the area, I expected it to be less accessible.
Reality: There is an SM MyBus that will take you directly to Ocean Park. You can check the schedule of the bus here. There are other ways to reach the area but it will be expensive and it will depend on your entry route. This might be a good.

4. Space
Expectation: I expected the place to be bigger than the one in Luzon (Manila) since it has the largest Oceanarium.
Reality: The walkway in the Oceanarium is quite long and it will really take you to a whole new level.
5. Language
Expectation: Staffs will speak Bisaya (Language in Cebu)
Reality: Staffs were speaking english and they were good. I just have to speak Bisaya there because I am in Cebu and gladly, the staffs replied in Bisaya dialect as well.

6. Attractions
Expectation: The Ocean Park has so many attractions.
Reality: Cebu Ocean Park has fewer attractions compared to Manila Ocean Park. I do hope that the park will continue to add more attractions as years pass by.
