How to Get to LAKIP ECO PARK ORMOC

OPTION 1 (BY JEEPNEY/MULTICAB)

Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.

CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE

  • From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
  • Then, ride a jeepney/multicab bound for Brgy. Mas-in. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc. Fare is PHP 60.00 ( SGD$ 1.50 ,US$ 1.2, € 1.0).
  • There is a tarpaulin signage at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc.
  • Then, you need to hike for 10-15mins in going to the park.

(HOMEBOUND)

  • Wait for a jeepney/multicab in the area or ride a habal-habal.
  • Note: Multi-cabs are available for a certain period of time so you can wait for multi-cabs.

OPTION 2 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via HILONGOS

  • From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (Roble Shipping Lines or Gabisan Lines) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 550.00 ( SGD$ 12.23, US$ 11, € 9.17) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
  • Then walk or ride a motorcycle to Hilongos Public Terminal.
  • At the Market/Terminal, ride a bus/van to Ormoc. Travel Time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Fare is PHP 200.00 – PHP 350.00 ( SGD$ 5.00 ,US$ 4.0, € 3.33) – ( SGD$ 8.75 ,US$ 7.0, € 5.83).
  • Once you reached Ormoc Terminal, ride a jeepney/multicab bound for Brgy. Mas-in. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc. Fare is PHP 60.00 ( SGD$ 1.50 ,US$ 1.2, € 1.0).
  • There is a tarpaulin signage at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc.
  • Then, you need to hike for 10-15mins in going to the park.

(HOMEBOUND)

  • Wait for any bus/van in the area or ride a habal-habal/motorcycle.
  • Note: You can arrange for your motorcycle driver to wait for you so that you won’t have a hard time going out of the area.

OPTION 3 (BY BOAT W/ BUS/VAN)

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via BAYBAY.

  • From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (RORO Ferries) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 580.00 ( SGD$ 12.89, US$ 11.6, € 9.67) for Fast Boats/Crafts.   • Then walk to Baybay Transportation Terminal.
  • At the terminal, ride a VAN/BUS bound for Ormoc. Fare is PHP 200.00 – PHP 350.00 ( SGD$ 5.00 ,US$ 4.0, € 3.33) – ( SGD$ 8.75 ,US$ 7.0, € 5.83) . Travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Once you reached Ormoc Terminal, ride a jeepney/multicab bound for Brgy. Mas-in. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc. Fare is PHP 60.00 ( SGD$ 1.50 ,US$ 1.2, € 1.0).
  • There is a tarpaulin signage at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc.
  • Then, you need to hike for 10-15mins in going to the park.

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 3 or PIER 1 via ORMOC .

  • From Pier 1, ride the Slow Boat bound (Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Inc. and Roble Shipping Lines, Inc) or From Pier 3, ride the Fast Craft (Oceanjet or 2Go) for Ormoc. Fare is about PHP 320.00 ( SGD$ 8, US$ 6.4, € 5.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 520.00 ( SGD$ 13, US$ 10.4, € 8.67) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.

OPTION 5 (BY AIRPLANE & BUS/VAN) (From Cebu or Manila)

  • There are actually daily flights from Manila to Tacloban and Cebu to Tacloban. The flight takes at least an hour and twenty (20) minutes if your entry point is Manila. Air travel takes about forty-five (45) minutes or less if your entry point is Cebu.
  • After arriving at Tacloban Domestic Airport (San Jose, Tacloban City), go to Tacloban City Bus Terminal via taxicab or transfer service. 
  • From Tacloban City Bus Terminal, one can easily go to the Ormoc by taking a three-hour bus or van ride bound for Ormoc.
  • Once you reached Ormoc Terminal, ride a jeepney/multicab bound for Brgy. Mas-in. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Lakip Eco Park Ormoc. Fare is PHP 60.00 ( SGD$ 1.50 ,US$ 1.2, € 1.0).

Lakip Eco Park Ormoc is located in Sitio Sampaguita, Brgy. Mas-in, Ormoc City, 6541 Leyte, Philippines. The park itself is built on a mountainside, close to the owners rice fields and other local produce. 

LAKIP – Eco Park opened its gates on May 8th, 2021. During COVID-19 Liza, her youngest daughter Rachel and the family back in the Philippines got together and discussed all the elements that would be needed to create a fun and sustainable park. A place to relax, be with nature and do some exercise. 

WHAT TO DO IN LAKIP ECO PARK

1. GROUP OR SOLO ACTIVITY – HIKING

During the day you can hike around the park. They have a hiking trail that leads up to the top of the mountain which provides a wonderful view of Ormoc and a chance to see the local animals.

NOTE: Hiking through LAKIP – Eco Park is only allowed between 6:00 am – 5:00 pm

2. CAMPING! CAMPING! CAMPING!

Sleep under the stars on our camping ground. There are multiple spots on this farm where you can take scenic and lovely photos.

3. HAVE A REFRESHING BATH

Are the temperatures rising? Cool down in their mini-pool with a cold Shake or a cocktail in hand.

4. CHILL IN THE HUT

At night time you can relax by the campfire and look up to the night sky. A lot of incredible sounds can be heard from the mountain and if you’re lucky you may even see the fireflies!

Are food and drinks available in the area?

They do not sell any food or drinks in the area so you might bring your own. You might need this one, especially on a hot sunny day.

How much is the Entrance Fee and Other Noted Fees?

Entrance fee: ₱50 per head
Bahay kubo hut: ₱650 per night (2 persons)
Extra-person(HUT): ₱150 per head
Tent: ₱500
Extra-person (TENT): ₱100 per head
Mini pool: ₱200 (Exclusive usage)
Firewood: ₱15 per bundle

  1. DAYTRIPPERS (TUE-SUN):
    • 7:00 AM to 04:00 PM 
  2. OVERNIGHT STAYERS (TUE-SUN):
    • Check in time – 1:00 pm
    • Check out time – 12:00 nn

NOTE: The park is close every Monday.

Available and is FREE. You just need to park your car beside the road.

Hiking Tips

  • Hiking through the park is only allowed between 6AM – 5PM
  • The weather can influence the terrain up to the mountain, so wear good walking shoes.
  • There is a bamboo rail alongside the path to assist you during your hike, when needed.
  • Bring water with you, stay hydrated!

Park Rules & Regulations

  • Your safety is your own responsibility.
  • We are all about respecting nature, so all trash, litter or refuse is to be placed in the provided trash bins. No dumping allowed.
  • During your stay it is not allowed to hunt, trap, harass, or harm any wild animal, bird, or plant life.
  • Please note that you will be using communal toilets and washroom.
  • Guests are allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverage items into the park for self-consumption.
  • When hiking up the mountain do not stray off the path, follow the designated route.
  • Dogs are allowed inside the park, but keep them on a leash at all times. Please maintain effective control of your dog and dispose of droppings in provided trash bins.
