Staycation: The Beautiful PalmBeach Resort & Spa at Mactan, Cebu
As a wanderer, a place to stay during times of roaming around a place is one of the things that should be taken into consideration. I am not picky when it comes to choosing a place to rest but your girl needs her bedtime sleep to produce quality pictures and reviews, right? So, I should note the comfort a certain place gives.
Aside from wandering, I also just want to chill. I am opening up this section of my blog entitled ” Staycation” where I highlight places that I slumber when I need to recharge. Charot!
So this weekend, I chose to spend my time at Palmbeach Resort and Spa.

PalmBeach Resort & Spa
As all of you did not know, I just spent the last day of july and first day of august with a flu. Yes, you read it right, A BAD FLU. I actually dread the coming of the weekend because of it. I tried my best to heal by eating right and sleeping on time. Luckily, my fever subsides a day before our staycation.

How to get there
✓ From South Bus Cebu (Most Convenient ride but not the cheapest) – Bus and Jeepney
Hop on a SUGBO Transit Bus going to the aiport. Fare is about Php 45.00
Drop off at Marina Mall Mactan.
Then ride a jeepney that has a sign going to PUNTA ENGAÑO. Fare is Php 10.00. Drop off exactly at the Palm Beach
✓ From Elizabeth Mall or E-mall Cebu (Cheapest option) – Jeepney
Ride a jeepney with a code “01K”. Fare is about Php 11.00
Drop off at PARKMALL
Then ride a jeepney that has a sign going to PUNTA ENGAÑO. Be sure to ask the driver. Usually the code “23” will go there. Fare is Php 15.00. Drop off exactly at the Palm Beach.

What to expect about the PalmBeach Resort & Spa?
The PalmBeach Resort & Spa is medium-far from the city so expect it to be serene and peaceful. A lot of foreigners are in the area because this place is an entry point to scuba diving.
The place itself is not that quite big compared to its nearby hotels but the rooms are very spacious and clean. It can totally accommodate a lot of person especially the Suite Room. I can really say that the price for the room is worth it.
The staffs of the resort are very accommodating. They always respond to us; guests and they always wear that beautiful smile. It totally makes you comfortable.
The receptionists are very helpful too. My friends and I enjoyed a hassle-free check-in. We just waited for a few minutes and then off we go to our room.
They also have a printed copy of the Television Channels.

We stayed at the Suite Room (see above picture). We were supposed to be staying in the Deluxe Room but they upgraded us to Suite. How sweet is that! Your gal did not even ask why. Why would I even bother to ask? Charot!
Important Notes
✓ For Extra Person in a room, PHP 1,500/ pax is charged for extra bed inclusive of breakfast.

What to do in the Resort?
1. Have a dip in the Swimming Pools
The sky is clear pa here. We were welcomed by a drizzle but it did not hinder us from dipping in the pool.
They have 2 swimming pools. The elevated one (see above picture) and the hagdan-hagdan pool (called it that because its like that for me). Also, they have a jacuzzi! We were supposed to try it but did not because of the rain (sorry rain but I blame you for that).
6pm, we went back here because we wanted to swim during night time cause its romantic and we did not see anyone swimming in the pool. So mga ate niyo nag grab na ng chance to have a dip in the pool. We really own the pool that night.
Then we open the Welchs sparkling wine *my fave wine*. We took a really long video and you could really hear and see that the rain poured while we were still sipping wine and enjoying our time. We luckily took some nice photos but will just share some of it in Instagram.
I still love the rain but ofcourse, we stopped because I might get sick again. We don’t want that happening, right?

Haven’t tried the spa but I saw someone coming in and out. It must be good.
4.Eat a lot at Sunrise Cafe
The buffet breakfast foods served were Scrambled Egg, Macaroni, Chicken Hotdog, Chicken, Veggies, Juices, Pancakes, Bread with Jams, Fruits, Juices and Teas.
I can say that their food were in great quality. Nabusog po kami! I wanted to eat another round but my stomach was full.

I did not have the opportunity to see the function room but they offer this.
7.Children’s Playroom
8.Pray at Chapel
Don’t forget to pray.

Overall Thoughts
If I am someone visiting Mactan Island and wants to Scuba dive or chill, I would definitely consider PalmBeach Resort and Spa. The resort is just near 30 mins from the airport and 20 mins away from Mactan Malls. Also, one of the best thing that I love about this resort is that there is a 7-Eleven store in front of the building. It’s pretty convenient and you don’t need to go far to purchase something in the middle of the night.
The view from our room window is also amazing.
Tip: If you want to see the boats, parasailing or people going scuba diving, choose the room that faces it. Ask the resort about it. My friends and I were lucky to be in a room that has all.
I would definitely love to stay in PalmBeach Resort & Spa again. This time, I’ll bring my family too.
