Travel Guide to Katibawasan Falls of Camiguin, Philippines
Katibawasan Falls, one of the 2 falls that our driver/ tour guide recommended. It is located at the foot of Mt. Timpoong, Barangay Upper Pandan, approximately five kilometers southeast of the Municipality of Mambajao.
Katibawasan Falls elegantly and gracefully drops its cool waters to a wide pool where tourists are having the time of their life. It can be reached through a very short trek from the road. At its base, there is an area suitable for swimming for those so inclined. Nonetheless, the water is freezing cold so be prepared. Even from afar, the falls is breath-taking and it is even more so up close.

NAVIGATING AROUND CAMIGUIN
✓ By Habal-Habal or known as Motorcycle
1.For short distance ride, it will costs you around Php 10 or $0.2. For long distance ride, like camiguin white island to ardent hot spring, will costs you around Php 200 or $4.
2.Much better if you can drive it yourself. It will costs around Php 400 or $8 per day.
3.If you want to rent the motorcycle with a driver then this will costs you around Php 800 or $16 per day.

1.There is an eastbound tricycle and a westbound tricycle which you can ride at the market or at the highway.

3.It can accommodate up to 8 passengers.

1.Most fares costs around Php 30 or $0.6.
2.It can accommodate up to 10-13 passengers.
3.If you want to rent tour the island using the van, it will costs you around Php 2000-2500 or $40-50 per day.
By Jeep
1.Most fares costs around Php 25 or $0.5.
2.It can accommodate up to 13-15 passengers.
3.If you want to rent tour the island using the jeep, it will costs you around Php 2000-2500 or $40-50 per day.
By Multi-Cab
1.Most fares costs around Php 30 or $0.6.
2.It can accommodate up to 8-10 passengers.
3.If you want to rent tour the island using the multi-cab, it will costs you around Php 1500-1700 or $30-34 per day.

✓ According to the locals, the waterfalls approximately measures 76.2 meters or 250 feet high down-rushing into a man-made rock pool.
✓ Locals selling souvenirs can be found at the entrance of the falls.
✓ It is open till 7pm.
✓ It is the highest falls in the island.
✓ The swimming place is just limited since people are not allowed to cross the rope. The rope is marked as the boundary to avoid falling stones from the top of the waterfall.
✓ It is best to go in the Katibawasan Falls when the sun is up since the water is very cold. I highly suggest that you should bring packed food since the restaurants will only prepare food as you order.
