About Zipang
Zipang is owned by Chef Ishikawa Masashi.
A son of Farmer’s, Masashi became interested in agriculture and the culinary arts in his teenage years. He has since then cooked for several restaurants, a sushi bar, and finally, a nutrition kitchen. To Masashi, the sweetest smiles come from eating good food and the greatest fulfillment comes from seeing people happy because of the food he makes.
Masashi loves to cook because it is a creative venture. He finds it wondrous, how a single set of ingredients can be turned into countless different dishes, depending on where you are in the world. His vision for Ziapng, then, is to be a place where Filipinos can eat food grown from their own soil but prepared after the manner of his people.

A free hot tea is served for esteemed guests while ordering and waiting for the food to be served.
The waiting time was around 1 hour as the Chef prepared the food with utmost care.
But the true star of the show at Zipang is the food. Every dish is meticulously crafted using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring an authentic taste of Japan. Whether you crave classic favorites like sushi, teishoku, tempura, or teriyaki, or are up for exploring bolder options like curry or donburi, the menu promises a culinary adventure. The chef at Zipang take pride in preparing each dish with care and attention to detail, resulting in a symphony of flavors and textures that will tantalize your taste buds.
My favorite was the Chicken Katsu Curry which involves a delicious curry sauce on top of the diced chicken and a side of a healthy shredded cabbage with some sauce.
We also had the Zipang Salad which was new for us. I love its dipping sauce and it perfectly combines with the salad itself.
Beyond the exceptional food and serene ambiance, Zipang also prides itself on its warm and welcoming service. The friendly staff is always happy to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure your dining experience is exceptional.
