How to Get to Tambaan Farm Cafe

✓ OPTION 1 (BY VAN)

Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.

CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE

From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
Then, ride a VAN bound for Hilongos/Maasin. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at Hilongos Public Market. Fare is PHP 110.00 – PHP 280.00 ( SGD$ 2.75 ,US$ 2.2, € 1.83) – ( SGD$ 7.00 ,US$ 5.6, € 4.67) . Travel time is about 2 hours and 40 minutes.
At the Market, ride a Pot2x or tricycle or motorcycle to Tambaan Farm Cafe and inform them to wait for you. Fare is about PHP 20.00 ( SGD$ 0.5 ,US$ 0.4, € 0.33)

Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.

✓ OPTION 5 (BY AIRPLANE & BUS/VAN) (From Cebu or Manila)

There are actually daily flights from Manila to Tacloban and Cebu to Tacloban. The flight takes at least an hour and twenty (20) minutes if your entry point is Manila. Air travel takes about forty-five (45) minutes or less if your entry point is Cebu.
After arriving at Tacloban Domestic Airport (San Jose, Tacloban City), go to Tacloban City Bus Terminal via taxicab or transfer service.
From Tacloban City Bus Terminal, one can easily go to the Kan-anan sa Superball by taking a three-hour bus or van ride bound for Hilongos/Maasin/Bato. Tell the driver to drop you off at Tambaan Farm Cafe.
From the highway, you can either walk for about 300 meters or just hire a motorcycle or tricycle to get to the destination.

What’s in Tambaan Farm Cafe?

Tambaan Farm Cafe is located in Sitio Tambaan, Hilongos, Leyte. It is surrounded by plants and fresh air which is a really good stress reliever and a break from city life.

Tambaan Sunflower Farm in Hilongos, Leyte, Philippines, is a picturesque farm that has become a popular tourist destination for both locals and foreigners. The farm is owned and operated by a family who are passionate about promoting sustainable farming practices and providing a unique and enjoyable experience for their visitors.

The road to Tambaan Farm Cafe is not cemented and the access road is smaller compared to the normal road so it is not easily accessible by any kind of vehicles. It is approximately 1.42 kilometers away from Hilongos Public Maket.

The main attraction of Tambaan Sunflower Farm is the vast fields of sunflowers, which bloom in vibrant colors during certain times of the year. Visitors can take a stroll through the fields, take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The farm also offers tractor rides and guided tours, allowing visitors to learn more about the different crops grown on the farm, including vegetables, fruits, and flowers.

Restaurant

Aside from the sunflower fields, Tambaan Sunflower Farm also has a restaurant that offers farm-to-table dining experiences. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes made with fresh ingredients sourced from the farm, such as salads, sandwiches, and pasta.

I was amazed by how they cooked their chopseuy. It was a dish that I did not expect to be so yummy and delicious and I think it was because they put butter in it.

We also tried their Aglio Pasta and it was really tasty and good.

And my favorite of all is their, garden salad. The salad has a lot of mixed veggies, nuts and fruits. It is very healthy and nutritious. I would really recommend this to all healthy eaters.

Overall, the cafe’s foods are very delicious and you will leave this place feeling satisfied and full. Plus the foods are affordable.
