How to Get to Ormoc Mangroves Ecopark

✓ OPTION 1 (BY JEEPNEY/MULTICAB)

Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.

CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE

From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
Then, ride a jeepney/multicab bound for Brgy. Na-ungan. Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at the last stop of Brgy. Na-ungan (Landmark: Hanging bridge connecting Purok Kintolimbo). Fare is PHP 30 ( SGD$ 0.75 ,US$ 0.6, € 0.5). Travel time is about 20 minutes.
A guide will meet you at this pick-up point.

Wait for a jeepney/multicab in the area or ride a habal-habal.
Note: Multi-cabs are available for a certain period of time so you can wait for multi-cabs.

From the port, walk to King’s Bargain Center.
Then, ride a tricycle at King’s Bargain Center, Burgos St. (Landmark: City Proper, very near KFC and BDO). Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at the last stop of Brgy. Na-ungan (Landmark: Hanging bridge connecting Purok Kintolimbo). Fare is PHP 30 ( SGD$ 0.75 ,US$ 0.6, € 0.5). Travel time is about 20 minutes.

From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (Roble Shipping Lines or Gabisan Lines) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 550.00 ( SGD$ 12.23, US$ 11, € 9.17) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
Then walk or ride a motorcycle to Hilongos Public Terminal.
At the Market, ride a bus/van to Ormoc. Travel Time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Fare is PHP 200.00 – PHP 350.00 ( SGD$ 5.00 ,US$ 4.0, € 3.33) – ( SGD$ 8.75 ,US$ 7.0, € 5.83).
Once you reached Ormoc Terminal, walk to King’s Bargain Center.
Then, ride a tricycle at King’s Bargain Center, Burgos St. (Landmark: City Proper, very near KFC and BDO). Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at the last stop of Brgy. Then walk to Baybay Transportation Terminal.

✓ OPTION 6 (BY AIRPLANE & BUS/VAN) (From Cebu or Manila)

There are actually daily flights from Manila to Tacloban and Cebu to Tacloban. The flight takes at least an hour and twenty (20) minutes if your entry point is Manila. Air travel takes about forty-five (45) minutes or less if your entry point is Cebu.
After arriving at Tacloban Domestic Airport (San Jose, Tacloban City), go to Tacloban City Bus Terminal via taxicab or transfer service.
From Tacloban City Bus Terminal, one can easily go to the Ormoc by taking a three-hour bus or van ride bound for Ormoc.
Once you reached Ormoc Terminal, walk to King’s Bargain Center.
Then, ride a tricycle at King’s Bargain Center, Burgos St. (Landmark: City Proper, very near KFC and BDO). Be sure to inform the driver that you will hop off at the last stop of Brgy. Ormoc Mangrove Eco-park is the latest addition to Ormoc City’s Tourism Road Map. It is located Barangay Quintolimbo, Naungan, Ormoc City.

The site is managed by a local association composed of mangrove planters and small-scale fishermen. Your patronage of this place will contribute to the uplifting of lives for the entire community. To sustain the association’s livelihood, please be responsible and do your share of the upkeep and maintenance of the place by mindful managing of your waste and not compromising the mangroves and their inhabitants.

-Mangroves help maintain water quality and clarity by trapping and filtering pollutants and sediments from land.
