New Art Museum Ormoc

This two-story Art Deco building was built in the year 1947 right after World War II. That same year, by the virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 42, Ormoc was formally inaugurated as a city on October 20th.

After the new Ormoc City Hall was constructed, the old building became a shelter for the city’s numerous homeless individuals. As time passed, many of the Ormocanon and even visitors wondered what will be the plan for the said infrastructure.

The curiosity of the people was then answered at the time actor Richard Gomez was first elected City Mayor of Ormoc in 2016.
