How to Get to Sky Cafe Sea of Clouds

✓ OPTION 1 (BY TRICYCLE)

Entry Point is in ORMOC PORT.

CHECK FAST CRAFT SCHEDULE & FARE HERE

From the port, walk to Ormoc City Terminal near the Ormoc Public Market/2go Express ticketing.
Then, ride a VAN or MetroBus bound for Baybay. Fare for Van is PHP 120.00 ( SGD$ 3.00, US$ 2.67, € 2.4). The fare for MetroBus is PHP 85.00 ( SGD$ 2.13, US$ 1.89, € 1.42). Travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
At Baybay Terminal, ride a motorcycle going to Brgy. Villa Solidaridad. Travel time is about 40-45 minutes. Depart from Baybay terminal between 4:30 and 5:00 am.
Note: Public transportation is not available during this time, so it is necessary to have your own vehicle.
At Brgy. Villa Solidaridad, you may hail a motorcycle or walk going to the Sky Cafe Sea of Clouds.

Entry Point is in CEBU PIER 4 via HILONGOS

From Pier 4, ride the Slow Boats (Roble Shipping Lines or Gabisan Lines) & Fast Boat (MV Superjoy) bound for Hilongos. Fare is about PHP 310.00 ( SGD$ 6.89, US$ 6.2, € 5.17) – PHP 2,000.00 ( SGD$ 44.45, US$ 40, € 33.33) for Slow Boats and PHP 550.00 ( SGD$ 12.23, US$ 11, € 9.17) for Fast Boats/Crafts. Travel Time is about 5-6 hours for the slow boats and 2-3 hours for the fast boat.
Then walk or ride a motorcycle to Hilongos Public Terminal.
At the Market, ride a bus/van to Baybay. Travel Time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Fare is PHP 200.00 – PHP 350.00 ( SGD$ 5.00 ,US$ 4.0, € 3.33) – ( SGD$ 8.75 ,US$ 7.0, € 5.83).
At Baybay Terminal, ride a motorcycle going to Brgy. Villa Solidaridad. Travel time is about 40-45 minutes. Depart from Baybay terminal between 4:30 and 5:00 am.

✓ OPTION 6 (BY AIRPLANE & BUS/VAN) (From Cebu or Manila)

There are actually daily flights from Manila to Tacloban and Cebu to Tacloban. The flight takes at least an hour and twenty (20) minutes if your entry point is Manila. Air travel takes about forty-five (45) minutes or less if your entry point is Cebu.
After arriving at Tacloban Domestic Airport (San Jose, Tacloban City), go to Tacloban City Bus Terminal via taxicab or transfer service.
From Tacloban City Bus Terminal, one can easily go to the Ormoc by taking a two-hour bus or van ride bound for Baybay. Ask to be dropped at Van-Van’s or Duptours terminal for a van for Baybay.
At the terminal, Hop on a Van-van’s or Duptours van en route to Maasin City, Southern Leyte via Baybay city. The van fare is P150 and the trip usually takes about two hours.

What’s in Sky Cafe Sea of Clouds?

Sky Cafe in Baybay, Leyte is a breathtaking destination that is famous for its stunning views of the sea of clouds. Perched atop a mountain, this cozy cafe offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, with the clouds rolling in below, creating a surreal and magical atmosphere.

If you wish to witness the “Sea of clouds” you should leave as early as 6:00 or 7:00 AM at least.

While waiting for the sunrise and clouds to set in below, one can visit the store there. There are lots of stores where you can buy food to eat. You can eat breakfast like tapsilog and many more. But you may bring your own snacks and food.

The best time to visit Sky Cafe is early in the morning, when the sun has just risen and the clouds are at their most dramatic. Visitors can take a short trek up to the cafe, or opt for a thrilling motorbike ride up the winding mountain road.

Once at the cafe, visitors can relax and take in the breathtaking views, as they watch the clouds dance and play below. It’s a truly unique and unforgettable experience that should not be missed by anyone visiting the Baybay area.

There are native-style houses called kubo. There’s a horse which you can ride on and you’ll pay for it amounting 50 pesos or almost $1. If you don’t want to ride the horse, you can pet them though. Don’t worry, it’s friendly.
