MONTE CUEVA
Before you can reach the cave with a chapel inside, you get to choose between that picture above. On the left side is the first stairs you can see when reaching Monte Cueva. On the right side is the second stairs you can see when reaching Monte Cueva. There are different pros and cons to deal. But for me, in going to the cave I will do the second stairs, which is in fact the hard one, because it has different statues for stations of the cross. You also get to rest a little while doing the stations of the cross. On the way down, I will do the first stairs because it is easier and will make you feel a little bit relaxed in going home. Hitting two birds in one stone.
Monte Cueva is also called “Our Lady of Assumption Diocesan Shrine – Monte Cueva, Maasin City”. A statue of Our Lady of Assumption can be found at the top of the cave. You need to climb a little bit of stairs to reach it. No need to worry because it will not exhaust you.

I have remembered that this was where we toured during our high school tours. It really was very cool and then I told my parents about this. They were really amazed, so the year after that we decided to visit this place until it became a yearly tradition with the family.
Plus, you got to see this amazing view. How amazing could that be?
