Hindang Cave and Wild Monkeys in Hindang, Leyte
ENTRANCE FEE: P20.00 php per person
This is the main entrance. On the left side is where you will pay the entrance fee. A guide will accompany you in going to the Hindang Cave because the monkeys are wild.
You can also bring bananas for the monkeys but be careful in giving bananas, as what I said earlier, monkeys are wild.
This stair will take you to the Hindang Cave. Another entrance with a sign that says, “Welcome to Hindang Cave & Wild Monkeys“. Monkeys are already seen in this vicinity.
Look at that picture above. I was really dead scared when taking that picture. I did not even dared to try and stare at them again.
On the other hand, I remembered that we were so loud so the monkeys swarm over us in just a few seconds. They were shouting and making loud noises (was it to intimidate us?maybe) but the guides said that monkeys were territorial and they do not like loud noises. I also stared to some monkeys and the guide swiftly warn me not to stare at them for a long period of time.
I am a living proof that monkeys there were untamed and wild.
I admit that I got tired just by climbing the stairs. I was really sweaty.
A closer look of the stalactite of Hindang Cave.
We weren’t able to get inside the caves because it was dark. The smell was too strong for us to handle too and the area was practically hot.
Also, a Zipline was available in the area. It is one of their attractions. Unfortunately, I did not try the zipline.
EXPENSES
Php 20.00/person – Entrance Fee
