Shellwanders Turns 1: An Honest Review of a Year of Blogging

Shellwanders Turns 1: An Honest Review of a Year of Blogging

It has been a dream of mine to share to people my reviews about places that I have been to. And now, it finally came true through shellwanders.com.

Shellwanders is born from the root word shell and wanders. Shell is short for Shelley which is my real first name. Wanders is what I have come to describe myself when travelling to places I have never been before. Wander from dictionary also means to walk or move in a leisurely, casual, or aimless way.

I have been travelling since I was a kid because my family loves travelling to different places. I also remembered that my first travel was in Bohol, Philippines.

I have discovered that Bohol has a lot to offer. From land, water or even air, they have it all. For example, the Tarsier which is an animal that can only be seen in Bohol. It is very widely known because of its incredibly small size. It fits naturally in your pocket!

With the feeling of  freedom that only travelling can give, left me with purely utter joy. The sensation. That pure bliss. That oh so familiar haven.

Now, my passion for spreading good reviews of my travels grows stronger and stronger as the days go by. So, I have started blogging last year this month after my PALAWAN TRIP with my co-workers.

BLOGGING

No one taught me how to write or even start a blog.

I honestly did not have a clue on everything. I did not major in any computer program software.

I was struggling in every aspects on how to set-up a blog. I have asked a lot of people with blogs. Asking the same questions but never with the same answers. It took a whole lot of late night thoughts and a lot of late nights pondering over internet on what should I do.

But thankfully, I had read a blog that gives steps on how to create a blog.

So around December, shellwanders was born.

To sum it all up, I have been to :

4 countries, 10 cities.

10 airplane rides.

And too many boat and public vehicle rides.

And I am bravely looking forward to 2019 as I am bracing myself to experience a whole lot more cultures in a country.

XOXO,
